I am a local resident who has lived in northwest Seoul for a long time.
Since I was young, I've often visited areas around Seodaemun-gu and Eunpyeong-gu with my family,
and I still love the quiet neighborhood atmosphere, mountains/valleys, and walks along the Han River in this area.
I usually work as a developer, but recently I've been preparing to start a business and doing new things.
Another hobby of mine is photography. I enjoy taking natural travel photos while walking, so if you wish, I can also take photos of you with a Hanok or temple as a backdrop.
This itinerary is a time to experience Seoul's quiet traditional Hanok residential area and nature together.
We will walk through the Hanok village at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain,
visit a temple with nearly a thousand years of history to enjoy traditional tea,
and finally, have lunch at a hidden Korean restaurant.
This course allows you to experience the comforting healing provided by Bukhansan's nature and temples, which are at the heart of Seoul.
We will meet at Yeonsinnae Station Exit 3
and head towards Eunpyeong Hanok Village.

Eunpyeong Hanok Village is a modern Hanok village located at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain.
It's a village created by reinterpreting traditional Hanok architecture in a modern way,
and it's a place where you can see quiet and beautiful scenery even within Seoul.
While slowly walking through the Hanok alleys,
Stories about Hanok structures
Stories about Seoul's residential culture
Neighborhood atmosphere
we will walk and share stories like these.

Jingwansa Temple is an old temple founded during the Goryeo Dynasty,
situated at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain, giving a strong sense of being with nature.
Even within Seoul, there are not many places where you can feel such a mountain-like temple atmosphere.
While slowly looking around the temple,
we will also briefly introduce Korean Buddhist culture and stories about the temple.

Inside the temple, there is a small teahouse where you can drink traditional tea.
Here, we will take a short break and
traditional tea
simple refreshments
Patbingsu (red bean shaved ice) or Patjuk (red bean porridge)
enjoy these and spend time chatting.
Tea drunk in the mountains provides a completely different atmosphere from a city cafe.

Lunch will be enjoyed together at a nearby local restaurant.
Depending on the weather or guest's preference,
Baeksuk (boiled chicken) eaten by the stream
Hanjeongsik (traditional Korean set meal)
you can choose from these options.
For those new to Korean food,
I will briefly explain what each dish is.
It is best to start this course at 9 AM.
This is because the Hanok village and temple are most quiet and beautiful in the morning.
This course includes natural scenery, so
spring, autumn, and winter are the best.
Spring: Fresh greenery around Bukhansan
Autumn: The autumn foliage is truly beautiful
Winter: Snow-covered Bukhansan and Hanok village scenery
Those who want to experience quiet neighborhoods of Seoul rather than tourist spots
Those interested in Korean traditional architecture and temples
Those looking for a calm walking course during their trip

Hello! I’m Junho, and I’ve spent most of my life in Seoul. I lived in Seodaemun-gu for 10 years and Eunpyeong-gu for another 10, which helped me naturally get to know the neighborhoods in depth. I used to work as a developer and am now preparing to start my own business. I also enjoy photography as a hobby. Rather than famous tourist spots, I’ll walk you through places that locals in Seoul actually enjoy. I’ll also take photos for you, so we can spend a natural, authentic day together in Seoul.
